Custom Logo Design

Designing custom logos is probably my favorite type of graphic design project. I love taking a client’s preferences and combining them with the basic principles of logo design to come up with something unique to represent the values of a business. I don’t think a logo has to be literal and I don’t think the logo even has to do with the product the client sells, but it does have to connect at a deep level to the values of the client and the client’s clients. The whole thing is essentially just a math problem to me which is great because I majored in math in college and went on to teach it to middle and high schoolers for a decade.

I love designing an icon, pairing it with the right typography and then solving the puzzle of how to fit everything together into a logo suite. The whole process is quite fun and I’m truly honored each time a client chooses me to design their logo.

I am a brand designer but also a recovering mother of babies (they’re 2 and 5 now) and a retired math teacher. I love exploring the personality of small businesses and translating what makes them unique into color, typography, iconography, and photography.
