LOGO DESIGN PROCESS

My logo process is almost scientific at this point. First I do research, then experiment, then analyze the results! The research phase is so important to go slow in. I like to take my time and get to know as much about the company and the clients’ preferences as I can. Then I run experiments by combining the clients’ preferences with basic graphic design principles, visual references, and typography. Analysis is next and is also quite fun. Then I present the results to my client and depending on how they are received we usually update the constraints and run a few more experiments.

I am a brand designer but also a recovering mother of babies (they’re 2 and 5 now) and a retired math teacher. I love exploring the personality of small businesses and translating what makes them unique into color, typography, iconography, and photography. I love working with clients to implement their branding across all the digital platforms, even the ones that hate technology. At my heart, I am a creative who loves solving puzzles and forming connections with interesting people.
